Cookson Roll-Up Service Doors are the backbone of our commercial business at Barton Overhead Door. These doors are secure, durable, and reliable. Our professional estimators and installers continue to install and maintain service doors with many corporations and builders in California. We also maintain and repair roll up service doors in Modesto, Sonora, and the whole Central Valley.

Service doors can also be called overhead coiling doors or rolling steel doors. They are metal slatted doors that roll up around a drum located above the opening. These doors can be operated by chain, crank, or motor, depending on the size and situation. All service doors are custom made to exact sizes up to 30' x 30'.

Please visit our Cookson Commercial Operator page for more information on operators.

Roll-Up Service Door Usage Rating

A normal service door is rated for 20 cycles per day at a 50,000 cycle life. This provides many years of reliable service. However, the 300 series models are rated for continuous duty and a 300,000 cycle life. For the most extreme applications, a 1024 High Performance Rolling Door can be used. This model is rated for 1,000,000 cycles and opens 3 times faster than a standard service door!

Insulation Options

The Cookson Thermiser Rolling Door adds foamed in-place insulation to a normal rolling door. These doors are rated with an R-Value of 8 and are sturdier than a normal service door, due to the insulation. Cookson also makes a Thermiser Max Rolling Door that meets ASHRAE ® 90.1 and IECC® (International Energy Conservation Code) 2015 Section C402.5.2 Air Infiltration requirements with an independently tested value of less than .3 CFM/FT2. It is the most energy efficient rolling door on the market! Find out how much this insulation can save with Cookson's microsite,  www.stopairleakage.com.
